(she runs face-first into a military coup, rolls a 20 for persuasion, and leaves the planet in better hands and her ship loaded down with money)
I'm still stoked to write, to get the words out. Calling it a space opera has been a little freeing. I can write things out of order and it's okay this time.
Coming up with various species and cultures is super fun, even if it's sort of happening while I'm writing. I usually worldbuild all the things, then don't have a story to put in the setting. This time I have a story and the setting is being built as I go. Which kind of makes sense. Our Hero is leaving her world for the first time, with no outside contact of that world, so all of space is new to her. I am learning it with her and it's exhilarating.
