Apr. 22nd, 2019 12:40 pmThe eye appointment was much easier than anticipated. Anxiety is such a liar. And I've ordered glasses through Zenni Optical, so let's hope they fit and work.
I got a bad case of the morbs on Sunday and, while I did the necessary things to get myself ready for the week, I did not do the big thing that helps me emotionally. (There was an Enthusiarmy stream and I passed in favor of playing video games alone.) I got the notification and could not see myself participating in any sort of nice way, so I opted out. Friday's stream was fun, though.
I finally restarted Horizon Zero Dawn and made serious headway, though! As I was far more prepared for the ridiculous worldbuilding, I'm not throwing my controller in disgust at the lack of things I would consider important to a society (actual crop lands, the existence of wheat or potatoes at all, herds and flocks, any explanation on how they're getting woven cloth) and just letting the plot holes pass. The game really is ridiculously pretty, though. Story mode is probably also helping with my overall enjoyment. I'm just not here for really difficult machine battles and paying extreme attention to the specs of my gear. Let Aloy run around and discover the horrors of the past!
