I'm starting the Photosynthesis Shawl for a friend. This is my first shawl, but not my first experience with charts. I have already learned the importance of lifelines, alas. I made it through the set up chart and most of the way through one repeat of the lace chart before I managed to screw something up and had to rip it all out. This could have been avoided if I had aSassy Gay Friend lifeline after the set up chart.
The yarn is Schaefer yarn "Heather" in the "Thistle" colorway and it's so nice to work with. I'm very sad to see the last of my Schaefer yarn, but I think this will be a very nice gift.
