I am not doing NaNoWriMo
Oct. 25th, 2018 10:13 am...but I definitely went into full-on galaxy brain with an idea last night. (Think Debbie Macomber but lesbians.) And then did a rough outline by hand because I was already at no-phone close to bedtime. And put ~900 words into a more fleshed out outline this morning.
I have a plot! And characters with motivations! And a setting! And a friend willing to listen to me babble and offer suggestions! And permission to fade to curtains rather than trying to force myself to write erotica!
I am super stoked to have this much writing mojo. I usually have characters and setting but no plot. Or a plot but no driving characters for it. Giving myself permission to talk about this silly idea with a friend was possibly a great thing. Not that I'm being held accountable as such, more that having someone to bounce ideas off of who also knows romance novels fairly well helps me feel more secure in writing this ridiculous Hallmark movie of a story.
