(no subject)

Nothing like joining a book club for funsies and having to bow out because the book chosen is too dense. Jorge Luis Borges, you have defeated me. I am completely unable to understand or follow any of this. It's short stories! It shouldn't be this bad! And yet, I cannot comprehend.

I hate feeling stupid because I can't understand the reading. But I'm not going to fling this mood at the folks having fun with it, either. I joined book club to have fun, not necessarily to be challenged by the readings.

Maybe the next selection will be something my idiot self can actually understand.
