Tour de Sock
Jun. 14th, 2018 09:43 amHoly cats, socks knit up fast!
I've watched Sock Madness from the sidelines for several years and keep thinking I might want to do something like that. But I haven't done a lot of techniques as I'm still new to socks. And not the fastest knitter overall.
Tour de Sock is also a competition. But there are teams, and the sign up fee goes to Doctors Without Borders (less admin costs), and it seems less stressful? I can plan for 2019 TdS, anyway.
I definitely need to level up my sock knitting before next year, though. Cables for sure, and colorwork as well. The bundle of Sock Madness patterns in my Ravelry library might just be the training regimen. I can aim for one pair of socks per month, varying techniques used and/or acquired, and will have a better idea of how long I'm taking.
I can do this. *plays Eye of the Tiger*
