That mental health day was an excellent decision indeed. Video games and crafting worked their magic, I slept really well last night, and I'm back at work refreshed if not precisely thrilled to be here.
I made a Starflower block yesterday. Many half-square triangles to practice on. It looks like a first effort. :P The seams don't really match up, the triangles are not the same size, it's wonky as heck. But I did it! And I will do more! It really is satisfying to put together a quilt block and see my actual progress. Knitting moves so slowly I can't always see that I'm making progress. Not so with sewing. That's definitely progress. Maybe not quite in the direction I intended, but it's certainly moving.
